Our Vision
SUDENA stands for the joint effort in Sustainable Development in Europe and Africa. The working areas range from Sustainable Urban Development, over Energy Supply and Transport Systems to Biopharmacy, Health Professions and Capacity Building. We carry out our projects in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams which bring with them a wide range of expertise from business and academic fields.
The focus is on the following objectives:
- Green Growth, Green Technology Transfer
- Exchange and networking of researchers, students and other stakeholders from different geographical background
- Working interdisciplinary from economic, ecological, technical and social point of view and bundle the synergies
- Building up consortiums to apply for research calls

This initiative contributes to the achievement of sustainable development in the field of medicine and pharmacology. Many of the drugs used today are chemically manufactured or imported. This poses a barrier for real sustainable development in pharmacology. To overcome this obstacle, a combination of approaches will be developed that focus on the beneficial utilization of the potential of wild medicinal plants harnessing the knowledge of the local population.
